Energy Code Compliance
Effective January 1, 1999, plans submitted to the Fire Marshal's Office will be required to comply with the Energy Code legislation recently enacted by the State of Louisiana.
To help you with the required submittals and calculations, there are some FREE software programs that may be used to perform the necessary calculations relating to compliance. These programs may be downloaded and, once installed on your computer, ran and printed to provide the submittal information that this office and the office of Facility Planning needs to verify compliance of your design.

If you have additional questions regarding the Energy Code and available training, contact the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) via their website and any phone numbers that are made available there.
