National Fire Code

• NFPA 101 Life Safety Code - 2015
  The 2015 Edition will be effective on July 1, 2017.
• Code Adoptions Scheduled for July 1, 2017
  In conjunction with the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council, updated editions of the fire protection and life safety codes and standards will be effective on July 1, 2017. See memo for a listing of the referenced codes and standards.

Louisiana Revised Statute 40:Part IV-A:1728: Effective January 1, 2006: The International Building Code, 2006 Edition, published by the International Code Council, the National Electrical Code, 1999 Edition published by the National Fire Protection Association, and Part XIV (Plumbing) of the State Sanitary Code as promulgated by the secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals are hereby adopted as the State Uniform Construction Code.
