Louisiana State Fire Marshal Honor Guard

The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal Honor Guard unit was established in 2004 to represent the office at special events and fire service line of duty funerals. Additionally, the unit has honored many fire fighters by attending and coordinating the annual Louisiana Fallen FF Memorial ceremony.

As tradition holds, the fire service has always had a strong Scottish/Irish influence. The unit has upheld this tradition by having kilted members who play the bagpipes and drums at events. The Honor Guard is made up of OSFM staff and the pipe band is comprised of volunteers from the community/local pipe bands.
